Psalm 119

My friend holly is the most encouraging friend I’ve ever had. She’s always encouraging to me and sending me the best devo (I call my devotion time, devo/devos.) things! She’s so thoughtful like that & I appreciate her so very much!
A couple weeks ago she gave me the cutest little book that goes verse by verse through all of Psalm 119. I was so excited, I did a little happy dance & dived right in.

I’ll be honest and say after I started it, life got a little busy and I slacked. Somebody please tell me I’m not the only one who does this? But what I HAVE been studying of the chapter (till verse 16) has made me more aware of God’s grace and his blessing on my life. And God’s grace confounds me still. He’s been so good to me and I can never seem to thank Him enough. Everyone’s story is a different, but that’s the coolest thing about it.

His grace takes each person where they’ve BEEN and changes where they’re GOING. Whether where they’ve been is good or bad, He’s the same and that’s what really matters. We can’t change anything about ourselves without God. He is our everything whether we choose to acknowledge it or not.

But when you seek him with your whole heart, you’ll be blessed. God tells us in verse 2 and it’s an amazing truth.

Psalm 119: 1-2 Blessed are the udefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
