Mornings are something that I’ve had a weird relationship with my whole life. A little bit of love-hate maybe? All I know is that once I started college, I knew why adults went crazy over naps. My college days were insane to say the least and I’m actually quite surprised I’m still alive. That’s not even being dramatic.
So after Austin and I got married, I would lay in the bed for a long while and just do nothing, but after a few weeks I found that it was setting the pace for my whole day and I didn’t like that. So I decided as soon as I woke up in the mornings I’d wait a couple minutes (you know until my eyes stop burning) and then get out of bed for the day. It’s amazing how much more focused I am and I get so much more done too.
I’ve learned to appreciate the peacefulness of mornings. Everything is refreshed. It’s a time of day like no other and I’ve learned to enjoy it more than I ever have before.
This morning is a snowy cold one. I’m not usually a fan of snow but I don’t even care because all of next week is supposed to be 70+ degrees. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Eat that winter. Your days are over. Well, this is VA so I probably shouldn’t get too excited. Ha. But next week will be spring like so yay for that!
I made my tea and now I’m going to get going on some work. Happy Friday!
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
